Meet the newest group of music enthusiasts from MacPhail Center for Music, guided by the exceptional and accomplished Michelle Elle and Mai Yee Chang. Michelle and Mai Yee, both distinguished songwriters and musicians, spearheaded the education of these aspiring students with MacPhail.

Under their expert guidance, these dedicated Hmong students were immersed in the intricacies of the songwriting craft, gaining a profound understanding of the creative process. With Michelle and Mai Yee’s assistance, each student successfully completed their individual singles, marking a significant achievement in their young musical journey.

This impactful initiative was made possible through a partnership between MacPhail and two Minnesota high schools located in the Twin Cities. Together, they have provided a valuable platform for Hmong students to delve into the realm of music exploration, fostering creativity and artistic expression.
